Promens has moved its plant in Bellignat, France (close to Lyon) to a new facility 2 kilometres away from its previous facility. The plant in Bellignat is part of Promens’ packaging division, which recently announced a new organization structure based on a segmental approach, replacing a former geographical structure. Promens packaging division has defined three key segments, Chemical, Food & Beverage and Personal & Healthcare packaging. The Bellignat plant is the headquarters of the Personal and Healthcare segment.

The new building, which is 15.300 sqm on a 54.000 sqm lot, has a 20% larger manufacturing area than the old facility, as well as spacious warehouse and office facilities. Promens Bellignat houses a product development centre for the Promens’ entire Personal and Healthcare segment as well as all administrative functions.

According to Pierre Sabatier VP Promens Personal & Healthcare packaging the new facility ensures much needed room for future expansion of Promens’ manufacturing capabilities for personal and healthcare packaging . The new building also enables Promens to better comply with environmental standards, such as ISO 14001, and the layout of the new plant has been designed according to lean manufacturing principles, which has become standard in all Promens facilities.

“Innovation as well as quality and first rate customer service has always been our pride” says Pierre Sabatier. “The new facility significantly improves our work environment and it includes a new, state-of-the-art product development and testing facility. We are confident that this will enable us to offer even better service to our customers and the new product development facility will also enable Promens to take on a greater number of projects as well as more complex projects than ever before” concludes Pierre Sabatier.
