On Friday, September 28th Promens opened a brand new, state of the art rotational moulding plant in the town Miedzyrzecz in Poland.
Being a leading plastics converters and the worlds largest rotational moulder Promens is leading the way by implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles to all its rotational moulding plants. Lean Manufacturing Principles considerably increase the productivity in a plant and therefore result in better customer service and quality as well as a better work environment for the employees. The new plant in Miedzyrzecz is believed to be the first rotomoulding plant in the world to be designed according to Lean Manufacturing Principles.
The plant is strategically located for distribution to Eastern as well as Western Europe and the area provides ready access to high quality work force.
Construction of the 10,000 sqm factory began in September 2006 and it is now equipped with 9 rotational moulding machines capable of processing more than 1500 MT of polyethylene. The 60,000 sqm piece of land provides ample opportunity to expand the building and add further production modules to meet future demand.
Promens Miedzyrzecz currently employs 110 people and once the new plant is fully operational more quality job opportunities will be available. The new plant will therefore play a key role as a base for production of a broad range of products including water and fuel tanks, air ducts and technical parts for well known companies with Global brands as well as small and large Polish organisations.
Employees, their families, representatives of contractors, local authorities and other guests got together on Friday, September 28th to celebrate the opening of the new plant in an afternoon filled with festivities and good food, marking a new beginning for Promens Miedzyrzecz.
