Jakob Sigurdsson
President & CEO
Jakob Sigurðsson was appointed President & CEO of Promens in August 2011. Prior to his appointment Jakob had been on the Board of Directors of Promens since March 2007. Before joining Promens Jakob was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at deCODE, a biopharmaceutical company with headquarters in Iceland, President and CEO of Alfesca, a multinational foods group with major operations in Iceland, the UK, France and Spain. For a number of years Jakob held senior positions at Dow Chemicals in the United States and Europe. Jakob holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Iceland and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Adrian Platt
Chief Financial Officer
Adrian Platt has been with the Group since 1993, first as Finance Manager at Polimoon Deeside, then as CFO Polimoon from 2000 and of Promens since 2007. Prior to this Adrian worked as Audit Manager from 1986 at Deloitte & Touche. Adrian is a qualified UK Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Chemistry from Liverpool University.
Gestur Thorisson
Senior Vice President Business Development
Gestur Thorisson was appointed SVP of Business Development in September 2007.
Between 2001 and 2005, he held key management positions in the fields of operations research, asset planning, distribution and trade marketing at USA based Georgia Pacific. Gestur has specific experience of acquisitions and mergers having most recently worked as Vice President at Kaupthing Bank.
Gestur received a MSc in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BSc in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering from University of Iceland.
Bob Bedford
Chief Operations Officer
Bob Bedford is the Chief Operating officer of Promens. Bob, who has an engineering background, has been with Promens since 2007, initially as VP for Packaging UK and then Packaging Operations. Prior to joining Promens, Bob spent 34 years in various global positions in the Packaging industry starting in glass containers, through Blow Moulding and Injection Moulding.
Jeroen Hooft
Chief Business Officer
Jeroen Hooft is the Chief Business Officer. Jeroen has been with Promens since 2002, first as MD for Polimoon Gent, then as VP of Packaging Continental Europe of Polimoon and from 2007 as SVP Packaging. Prior to joining Polimoon Jeroen held management positions with Stonhard (synthetic floorings), Wavin (plastic piping systems) and Dyrup (paint manufacturer). Jeroen has a degree in Physical Therapy from the HIPB Gent.
Jon Sigurdsson
Senior Vice President Procurement
Jon Sigurðsson, was appointed SVP Procurement in July 2007. He was the CFO of Promens ince its establishment in 2005, and at Sæplast from 2004. From 1999 to 2004 Mr. Sigurdsson was the Director of Investment at Framtak Investment Bank, Iceland before which he worked for the Coca Cola from 1991 to1999, first as CFO for the Bottler in Iceland and later as the Manager of Financial Analyzis and Bottlers support and Manager in Business Development at the Divisional office in Oslo, Norway. From 1986 to 1991 Mr. Sigurdsson was the CFO of Hans Petersen hf. (Kodak in Iceland) and business consultant for Hagvangur Consulting 1980 to 1986. Mr. Sigurdsson has a Cand. oecon. degree from the University of Iceland.
Dragan Stjepanovic
VP Chemical Packaging
Dragan has been with Promens since 1997, first as financial and deputy general manager in Ettlingen until 2000, after which he was promoted to General Manager of the plant. In 2005, Dragan became the Managing Director Germany after which he became the Vice President Central Europe in 2006. In 2009 Dragan, became VP for Chemicals. Before joining Promens, Dragan was Receivables and Reporting Manager at Walbro (TI group) from 1994 to 1997 and an Accounting Clerk at the same company from 1992 to 1994.
Dragan holds a degree as Chief Accountant and Industrial Business Management Assistant from IHK Karlsruhe.
Pierre Sabatier
VP Personal & Healthcare Packaging
Pierre has been with Promens since 2006, first as VP Western Europe packaging and subsequently VP Personal & Healthcare in 2008. He was part of the Plastohm group acquired by Promens, acting as the MD of the packaging division since 1997, after having held the position of CFO in the same group since 1986. Prior to this, he held several managerial positions in various multinational companies (Casino, Thorn Emi, Rockwell, Grammer, Beatrice Food) acting in various industrial segments. Pierre holds a Master degree in economics from the University of Grenoble (FR) and an executive MBA from the EML Lyon Business School (FR).
Svein Harald Egestad
VP Food & Beverage Packaging
Svein has been with the Group since 1987, first as an Internal Auditor at the Head Office of Dyno Industries in Oslo, Norway, Financial manager and Director of Polimoon since 1995 and General Manager/VP of Promens since 2000. Prior to this, he worked as Professional Officer from 1981 in the Norwegian Army. Svein is qualified as Associate in Economics and Certified Internal Auditor and also holds a Masters degree in project management.
Maik Altendorf
VP Vehicles
Maik has been with Promens since June 2003, first as Operations manager Hockenheim, then as MD of the Hockenheim plant since 2004, VP Operations Roto since 2007, and VP Roto Europe since 2009. In former positions, Maik worked as operations and engineering manager at Cytec Engineered Materials (aerospace supplier) and several engineering/operations and maintenance management positions at Braas (roofing) and Carl Schenck AG (testing systems). Maik received a Msc. Eng. in electronic engineering (automation) of the Berufsakademie in Mannheim.
Dadi Valdimarsson
VP Material Handling
Dadi has been with Promens since 2000, first as a production manager in Dalvik, but since 2009 he has been responsible for the global insulated tub business. Dadi has an MSc Eng in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Aalborg University in Denmark.
